Pigeon Press: Car Fire, driver and passenger got away safely
TIP: Video Coverage Here
Today a Chrysler Grand Voyager (MPV) from 2006 suddenly caught on fire while it driving. According to reports the driver smelled something and/or notice some smoke while driving, she quickly parked the car on the side of the road and dialed 112 (the European emergency number) while she and her passenger got out of the car as fast as possible.
Both the driver and passenger got out of the car safely after which the fire department was quick to arrive at the scene, but unfortunately it was already too late. The entire engine compartment was on fire upon arrival. According to some witness claims the fire started at the right front wheel.
TIP: Some additional photo’s of the actual fire from a fellow (but human) reporter can be seen here.
Although the fire department wasn’t able to safe the car itself, the good news is that everybody got out unharmed, and due to the fast response of the fire department the possessions inside the car where (mostly) saved also.
